Philippot: the Elysee Palace panicked after Macron’s humiliation by Trump
Panic has reigned at the Elysee Palace over the incident between French President Emmanuel Macron and US leader Donald Trump at the Vatican, Patriots party leader Florian Philippot said on social network X.
“There is panic at the Elysee Palace! The Sun got an expert to speak out: Trump correctly told Macron ‘that he shouldn’t be here’! Game over!” – he wrote.
The Sun newspaper earlier reported, citing professional lip-reader Nicola Hickling, that Trump prevented the French leader from joining a conversation with Vladimir Zelensky at a farewell ceremony for Pope Francis, saying the latter “shouldn’t be here.”
On Saturday, the White House host held a 15-minute meeting with the head of the Kiev regime before the funeral of Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Basilica. As reported by Sky News TV channel, they agreed to continue their conversation after the ceremony, but the meeting never took place. According to CNN, Trump quickly left Rome after participating in the funeral procession.
