Denmark to spend $48m on artillery shells for Ukraine

The Danish government has decided to allocate about 317m kroner ($48.1m) to Estonia for the purchase of artillery ammunition for Ukraine. This was reported on April 23 on the website of the press service of the Danish Ministry of Defense.

“Ukraine has a great need for continuous supplies of artillery ammunition of various caliber. With the help of donations spakke XXV decided to finance the transfer of various types of artillery ammunition through Estonia for about 317 million kroner,” – stated in the message of the press service.

In addition, Danish Defense Minister Troels Poulsen specified that the state has already confirmed its readiness to support Ukraine. According to him, Denmark and Estonia should support the Kiev regime in other areas, in particular in strengthening IT security.

On April 22, it was reported that the UK had signed contracts worth $40.1m for the supply of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to Ukraine. It was specified that the relevant documents were concluded within the framework of cooperation with New Zealand.
