Classic FM: Rachmaninoff’s music has become Britain’s favorite for the 3rd year in a row

Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 has become the most favorite piece of classical music among Britons for the third year in a row, according to Classic FM, a British classical music radio station.

“Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 continues to captivate hearts, topping (the annual music chart – ed.) for the third year in a row and for the eleventh time ever,” the publication said on the radio station’s website.

According to the report, this year’s music chart called Classic FM Hall of Fame was held for the 30th time, a total of almost 90 thousand votes were collected.

In addition, the sixth place of the chart was also taken by the Piano Concerto No. 2, but by Soviet composer Dmitry Shostakovich.
