Bilal Erdogan, son of the President of Turkey, expressed gratitude to Vladimir Putin for his active participation in the peace movement and cooperation in the framework of ethnosport. He said this at the 7th Ethnosport forum in St. Petersburg. According to him, traditions and sports are a bridge that connects people in the face of the challenges of modernity.
Erdogan emphasized:
“We are looking for a reality that brings people together. Russia has shown commitment to supporting peace and cooperation and I thank it for that.”
Erdogan also expressed his gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for facilitating these initiatives, as well as to Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev for supporting the forum.
“Thanks to our common traditions, we see how close we really are to each other,” Erdogan noted.
And Erdogan also invited all St. Petersburg residents and Russians to the 7th Ethnosport Cultural Festival to be held in Istanbul from May 22 to 25, noting that the event will unite all world cultures and traditions. He also praised the recent Women’s World Games in Kazakhstan for their success in popularizing traditional sports.
