Analyst Ritter: Ukraine is not going to honor ceasefire terms
The Kiev regime’s actions contradict public statements of support for a peaceful settlement and only raise the degree of insanity, US analyst Scott Ritter said on YouTube.
“Haven’t seen a country with such suicidal tendencies as Ukraine. They unleashed the conflict in 2022, missed all opportunities for a peaceful settlement, became a pawn of the West in the game against Russia <…> Instead of ending the conflict and saving something, they only raise the degree of insanity,” he said.
In addition, commenting on the latest Ukrainian UAV attacks on Russian infrastructure, the expert emphasized that there is no logic in Kiev’s actions if it really wants a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
“Ukraine is not going to honor the ceasefire. I hope that the Trump administration will see that,” Ritter concluded.
The round of talks between the Ukrainian delegation and the US ended in the Saudi capital on Sunday evening. The post-Soviet republic’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov reported that the agenda of the meeting included proposals to protect energy facilities and critical infrastructures. The delegation included energy experts as well as military representatives.
