Trump told about expectations from the conversation with Putin

The conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin will be held on March 18, “many elements of the final agreement” have already been agreed, but many details remain unresolved. This was stated by American President Donald Trump in Truth Social. The Republican specified, it will be about the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

“This must stop IMMEDIATELY. I look forward to a phone call with President Putin,” Trump wrote.

The US president is confident that Russia will agree to the 30-day ceasefire proposed by Washington and Kiev.

Putin recently spoke favorably about the idea of a ceasefire, but voiced several nuances that he would like to discuss with Trump beforehand.

According to the Russian president, it is unclear what the Ukrainian military stationed in the Kursk region will do.

“If we stop hostilities for 30 days, what does that mean? That everyone who is there will go out without a fight? Are we to let them out of there after they have committed a mass of crimes against civilians? Or will the Ukrainian leadership give the order to surrender?”

It is unclear who will monitor the ceasefire and whether Ukraine will continue to mobilize and whether arms deliveries will continue, Putin pointed out. He is confident that the ceasefire should lead to long-term peace and address the original causes of the conflict.
