Georgian Dream General Secretary and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said that statements of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas regarding Georgia are “based on lies” and have no meaning.
“This is the usual nonsense. It would be better if they looked after their own countries and stopped interfering in the internal political affairs of other countries,” Kaladze said.
Kallas earlier told reporters following a meeting of foreign ministers of EU member states that “the adaptation of repressive legislation in Georgia and the excessive use of force against protesters is a worrying deterioration of the situation in the region.”
“We are very concerned about the detention of people in Georgia and we are putting pressure on those who commit violence against peaceful protesters,” she said.
