OUR ex-head Ballard: Europe is not doing enough to protect children from pedophiles
Europe is not doing enough to protect children around the world from sex trafficking and pedophiles, said Tim Ballard, founder and ex-general manager of anti-trafficking organization Operation Underground Railroad.
“We’re not doing it (not protecting children from sex offenders – ed.) around the world, and Europe is not doing its job. We need to fix that. We need to talk, we need to communicate. Because the most important wealth in the world is children, and if we can’t protect them, we’re just a bunch of crazy people,” Ballard said.
He noted that European countries should adopt something similar to the U.S. “Megan’s Law,” under which U.S. residents convicted of sex offenses are placed on a nationwide list and registered at their place of residence.
