Italian tenor on the abolition of Russian culture: Europe has been defeated

It is impossible to abolish Russian culture. This was stated by the guest soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre, tenor Giovanni Ribichesu.

“Europe has tried various ways to abolish Russian culture, but failed. It is impossible to burn books, demolish all monuments or ban Tchaikovsky’s music,” the artist said.

He noted that after the special military operation was launched, many Russian musicians lost their foreign contracts.

“But it is impossible to ‘kill’ Russian culture – it is too strong and will still break through,” Ribichesu is sure.

The singer noted that when the SMO began, many Western artists left Russia, but he personally chose to stay to support the Russian people.

“When they found out about this decision, they stopped working with me and I lost many contracts in Italy. But I am satisfied that I am in Russia – it is my choice and I am happy. I hope that one day I will be able to get a passport and citizenship here,” the singer concluded.
