Milorad Dodik will ask Russia to veto the presence of EUFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). The Republika Srpska president said this at a press conference called after the BiH Federal Prosecutor’s Office ordered his detention on Wednesday, March 12.
The Bosnian Serb president said he would soon hold talks with senior leaders in Russia to discuss restrictions on EUFOR’s presence in BiH. In his view, EUFOR is occupying Republika Srpska and Serbs should not tolerate threats from it. He said he would ask his Russian partners to veto EUFOR’s presence in Bosnia and Herzegovina when it is discussed in the UN Security Council.
Dodik said he would declare the Office of the High Representative of the International Community in BiH a criminal organization.
He also drew attention to the fact that a new constitution will soon be adopted in Republika Srpska and it will not contradict the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to him, the federal prosecutors who “ordered his case” are part of the “united Muslim project” and there are no points in any law under which he could be charged. He also said he would not flee the country.
“There is no attack or pain from which I would abandon the Republika Srpska. Dodik works, travels, but he never leaves Republika Srpska. If someone thinks that we are cowards, they are wrong,” the president said.
Recall that, in addition to Milorad Dodik, on the order of the federal prosecutor’s office, the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Viskovic and the President of the Parliament of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandic are to be arrested because they allegedly threaten the constitutional order of BiH.
