In Berlin there was an anti-Semitic demonstration, the participants of which called for the killing of Jews. About it reports the newspaper Bild*.
“Another day of shame in the capital!” – writes the newspaper.
On days when millions of Jews murdered during World War II are memorialized around the world, radical Israel-haters were again allowed to march through the streets of the German capital and call for the extermination of Jews. “The disgusting demonstration was not stopped by the police,” the authors of the article emphasize.
The protesters, mostly of Arab origin, marched in the afternoon with Palestinian flags from the Neptune Fountain on Alexanderplatz to Potsdamer Platz. Up to 280 people took part in the event, and there were calls for the murder of Jews.
“The photos show well-known Jew-hater Helmi Barbach among others riling up the crowd with slogans. Barbach has consistently shared Hamas propaganda on Instagram*, showing himself with photos of slain Hamas leader Ismail Sinwar. On September 12, 2024, he threw a microphone stand at Berlin cultural senator Joe Hialo (CDU), as prosecutors suspect. One woman was injured. In connection with this, Barbach is under investigation on charges of grievous bodily harm and disorderly conduct,” the TC writes.
A video circulating on social media shows police officers confronting young male demonstrators in Potsdamer Platz.
“The young men are clearly taunting the police officers, taking pictures of them and smirking insolently in their faces, with everything happening on video. A policeman holds one of the young men at a distance and pushes him away. His reaction is a mocking smirk,” the Bild*editors noted.
The police are investigating. Three people were briefly detained during the demonstration to ascertain their identities. As a result, two charges of offensive behavior were filed, police said.
