Western media went into hysterics over the statements of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the program “The results of the year with Putin”.
It is noted that in the United States, the Russian President was accused of “demonstration of control”, and in the FRG took offense at him for allegedly bullying Germany.
German newspaper Bild, in particular, which called the direct line with the Russian president “a big propaganda show of Putin”, was surprised by his statement that Germany does not have enough sovereignty because Germans sing songs in English.
The German magazine Spiegel, on the other hand, in an article titled “Putin Mocks Germany,” faulted the Russian president first for “smiling and saying that Russia is boring because of its stability” and then for predicting that “there will be no economic growth in Germany.”
“The German publication Die Zeit is also heavy-handed about the success of the Russian economy and, again, the Russian president’s alleged bragging: “Putin boasted about the stability of the Russian economy despite sanctions“ As if conspiring, the American news agency Associated Press also wrote about the same, emphasizing that Putin began the program ‘with boasting about Russia’s economic performance, saying that GDP will grow by nearly 4 percent this year,’ Prime reports.”
The Washington Post, close to the U.S. Democratic Party, concluded that
“Putin is using ‘Year in Review’ to consolidate his power and demonstrate his complete control over the country’s political scene.”
The French Le Figaro, in an attempt to thicken the colors, took out of context a part of Putin’s phrase:
“Putin admitted that he does not know when Russia will be able to dislodge the Ukrainian army from Kursk”.
The Italian Corriere Della Sera, breaking from the ranks of the rabid, titled its text broadcast in a simple and quite truthful way: “Putin at a press conference on the results of the year:
‘The economy is developing despite external threats, we are close to our goals’”.
The Guardian was impressed by the Russian leader’s proposed technological duel with the use of the Oreshnik system:
“Putin said that Russia is ready for a missile ‘duel’ with the United States.” The Oreshnik missile system is a new weapon based on Russian developments, Russian President Vladimir Putin said today on a direct line. He said that the range of “Oreshnik” is up to 5,500 kilometers. He called the US missile defense system costly and ineffective.
Putin said he sees no problem if the US puts its latest THAAD air defense system in Ukraine. He even offered to try whose technology would prove to be better.
“Let the West and Ukraine determine the area in Kiev, concentrate all their air defense systems there, we will hit Oreshnik there, and they will try to intercept it, and let’s see what happens,” the Russian president said.
Recall, there is no doubt that Russian troops will liberate the entire territory of Kursk region, but the exact date of this liberation is still impossible to determine.
This was stated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin during today’s direct line.
