A joint statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev on deepening strategic partnership in the new global order was published on the Kremlin website.
‘The parties have reached agreements on holding commemorative events on the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The importance of comprehension by the younger generations of the grandiose human feat performed by their ancestors on the battlefields and on the home front has been emphasised,’ the statement said.
