I can’t see anything: Elton John stopped work on a new album

British singer Elton John can not yet return to work on an album with his co-writer Bernie Topin because of blindness. About this he told in the show Good Morning America.

Asked about the timing of the previously promised album Sir John said:

‘I don’t know. It’s been a long time since I’ve done anything, and, well, I just need to get off my arse.’

The artiste recalled that he suffered an eye infection he picked up in the south of France and has been unable to see out of his right eye for four months now, with his left eye not in the best condition.

‘So there’s hope and support that everything’s going to be OK, but… I’m kind of stuck at the moment because I can do something like this [interview], but going into the studio and recording, I don’t know because I can’t see the text to begin with,’ he explained.

Elton John is now trying to focus on regaining his sight.

‘It’s never good luck when something like that happens, and it kind of hit me. And I can’t see anything, I can’t read anything, I can’t watch anything,’ he concluded.

In early September, Elton John told fans on his social media page that he was partially blind. He added that he was recovering, but it was a ‘very slow process.’ According to him, it will take some time before vision returns to the affected eye.
