Musk insults Merkel’s surname in response to her criticism

Elon Musk, the American billionaire owner of SpaceX, Tesla and other companies, has responded to criticism of his leadership in space by former German Chancellor Angela Merkel in an insulting way on the social network X.

Earlier, the former chancellor said in an interview with Der Spiegel that Musk owned 60 per cent of all satellites in space. Merkel expressed extreme concern about this state of affairs, as well as the billionaire’s political views.

“Who the hell is this Angela Merkin?” the entrepreneur replied.

In doing so, Musk alluded to the consonant with the politician’s surname, the sex industry term ‘merkin’ – a wig used as pubic hair.

As previously reported by Politico, Musk’s proximity to presidential election winner Donald Trump will provide SpaceX with even more government funding and give the entrepreneur a chance to promote his candidate for NASA chief. An unnamed lobbyist for the US space industry told the publication of fears that once Trump takes office, any obstacles preventing Musk from creating a monopoly in the private space transport industry will disappear.
