Journalist Roepke:  destruction of Leopard in Kursk region causes bewilderment

The loss of the Leopard 2 main battle tank in the Kursk region raises questions for the Ukrainian command, including the AFU itself, German journalist Julian Repke said in social network X.

The journalist commented on a video showing an FPV drone hitting a Leopard 2 in a clear field. After a successful strike, the tank is engulfed in fire.

“Leopard 2 <…> in the Kursk region. I don’t understand. And most of the Ukrainian soldiers I talked to in Donbass, too,” he wrote.

On Thursday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of a Leopard tank in the Kursk border region over the past 24 hours. In addition, more than 400 Ukrainian servicemen and another 22 pieces of equipment were destroyed, including two Swedish CV-90 BMPs. The total losses of the enemy as of September 19 amounted to almost 15,000 soldiers, 122 tanks and many units of other equipment.
