TASS: Foreign mercenaries ask to be withdrawn from Kursk Region

Foreign mercenaries fighting in Kursk Region in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) have lost their initial fighting spirit and are asking to go to the rear.

This was reported by the TASS news agency, citing a source in the security services. According to him, the reason for the change of mood of soldiers of fortune were losses in heavy fighting.

“The mercenaries have lost their initial fervor with which they came in here. They are increasingly trying to rotate and change to Ukrainian units, to cannon fodder,” – said the interlocutor of the agency.

Recall that the AFU units went on the offensive to seize territory in Kursk region on August 6. By now the front in Kursk region has stabilized.

According to the Defense Ministry, over the previous day the Russian military repelled four attacks by enemy assault groups in the direction of the settlements of Matveevka, Olgovka, Malaya Loknya and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye.

Earlier, EADaily reported that the AFU command had deployed more than 500 mercenaries, mostly of French nationality, to the border area of Kursk Region.
