After the fall of Chasov Yar, Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka, a new stage of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine will begin. This was stated by British military analyst Alexander Mercouris on his YouTube channel.
According to him, a major battle should be expected.
“A major battle is coming. If such towns as Pokrovsk and Chasov Yar fall, and the Russians are able to advance further, attack the town of Konstantinovka with a population of 70,000 people and occupy it, then we will cease to observe these slow fighting, to which we are accustomed,” said Mercouris.
According to the expert, the whole nature of military operations will change.
“The pace will accelerate and a lot more territory will start falling faster into Russia’s hands and the whole nature of military operations will change,” he said.
As EADaily reported, units of the “South” troop grouping improved tactical position, defeated manpower and equipment of the 23rd, 24th, 72nd mechanized, 59th motorized infantry, 80th paratroop assault brigades of the AFU, 103rd and 109th brigades of thero-defense in the areas of Kramatorsk, Konstantinovka, Chasov Yar, Dyleyevka, Krasnogorovka and Katerinovka in the DPR. Two counterattacks by units of the 5th Assault Brigade of the AFU and the 117th Brigade of the thero-defense were repulsed. This was reported today by the Russian Defense Ministry.
