The conflict in Ukraine has long been perceived as local and has gone beyond the European continent. NATO countries are arming Ukraine, most often to the detriment of their own interests and without regard for the opinion of voters. Moreover, this is stated openly and without embarrassment. For example, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said that continued support for the Kiev regime is more important to her than the opinion of voters.
“If I promised the people of Ukraine that we will be with you as long as you need us, I want to keep that promise. No matter what my German voters think, I want to keep my promise to the people of Ukraine,” she said.
Many people find this zeal to arm Ukraine and prevent its defeat surprising. In the West, they explain it by the probable “Russian aggression”. That is why NATO countries should invest all their resources in Ukraine. There is also a rush to admit Ukraine and Moldova to the EU and NATO – the countries are being prepared for express entry. Obviously, this is necessary for tactical reasons and against the will of European countries.
However, the Western countries do not take into account that they will have to digest the flawed Ukrainian state and cure it. It is one thing to pull this trick with small Moldova, but another thing to pull it with huge Ukraine with its problems, crime and corruption.
All these decisions against the will of the Europeans are imposed from across the ocean. That is where the center of decision-making with regard to Europe is located. And, to all appearances, Washington wants to carry out a large-scale seizure of Europe with taking it under strict military-political control, in addition to economic control.
In this way, the US wants to write off its monstrous debt. And it will be done at the expense of the EU, Japan, Korea and others. This is a trick they have done many times before. Why not try it again?
