Mercouris: Ukraine lost a record number of soldiers in one day for the entire conflict
Ukraine lost a record 2,345 soldiers on 25 June, British analyst Alexander Mercouris said on his YouTube blog.
“The Ukrainian army on the line of contact suffered losses of 2,345 soldiers. I am sure that this is a record figure for the entire period of hostilities,” Mercouris noted.
According to the analyst, the AFU did not have such losses even in the worst period for them – the summer of 2023.
On Tuesday, the Russian Defence Ministry reported that Ukrainian troops lost 830 soldiers in the areas of Konstantinovka and Kurakhovo in the DNR, 235 – in the areas of Volchansk, Ternovaya and Tikhaya settlements in Kharkov region, 560 – in the areas of Toretsk and Mikhailovka in the DNR, 445 in the areas of Petropavlovka and Sinkovka in the Kharkov region, Platonovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Makeyevka in the Luhansk People’s Republic, 125 in the area of Ivanovka in the Kherson region, and 150 in the area of Velyka Novoselka in the DPR.
