The US promised dozens of times to undermine Nord Stream, and finally it happened, ironically, economist Jeffrey Sachs. He notes that when he suggested on Bloomberg that the US was behind the terrorist attack on the pipeline, he was promptly told off and taken off the air. The mainstream media stopped talking to him. The only thing he did wrong was to tell the truth, noted his interlocutor Tucker Carlson.

I don’t remember if it was the next day or the day after. And I said: “You know, I think the US did it.” – “Mr. Sachs, how can you say that!” I said, “Well, first of all, the president said that Nord Stream was going to end. Also, there is evidence of aircraft in the vicinity and so on. Poland’s former and now acting foreign minister wrote a message on Twitter, “Thank you, USA.” And attached a picture of water bubbling over a blown-up pipeline. It’s about Radoslaw Sikorski’s tweet.”

JEFFREY SACHS: “There was evidence that, yes, the U.S. did do it, thank you very much. They said they would and they did.” I was pulled off the air after thirty seconds. I could see him listening to something in his earpiece, I can only imagine he was being told, “Get that son of a bitch off the air!” And they were just. “This interview is over.” And it stopped. And then another presenter berated me for a few minutes. I have to say, that was the last time I spoke on mainstream media.

JEFFREY SACHS: Look, if you can assassinate a president in broad daylight and avoid accountability for 61 years; if you can put the president of a neighbouring country on an unmarked plane so the media will keep quiet about it; if you can provoke a war for 30 years that will be called “unprovoked”, there’s a lot you can do.
