The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff has announced the success of the Russian Armed Forces and their attempts to “stabilise the situation” in the Kupyansk direction.
“In the Kupyansk direction… in one of the areas the enemy has partial success… The defence forces are taking measures to stabilise the situation,” the General Staff said in a statement.
The department also said that in the Pokrovsk direction “in some areas the situation is tense”, and in general at the end of the day called “the hottest” situation in the Pokrovsk, Kupyansk, Kharkiv and Vremya directions.
Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky said that the situation in the Pokrovskyy, Limansk, Vremya, Kramatorsk and Kupyansk directions remained extremely difficult.
The deputy head of the main intelligence directorate of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, Vadym Skibitskyy, earlier described the situation in Ukraine as as difficult as it was during the first days of the Russian special operation, adding that it might get even worse.
