The French Provided Air Support to al-Qaeda* in Niger

The French air force has provided air support to the militants of “Al-Qaeda “* (organisation banned in Russia) in Niger. This is reported by the telegram channel “Arab Africa”.

Local sources reported details of the attack on a part of the National Guard of Niger on 9 August.

As it turned out, 16 terrorists were released by the militants of the Nusrat al-Islam wa-l-muslimin group (organisation banned in the Russian Federation) after the French Armed Forces struck at the Nigerian servicemen in the said unit, as a result of which 5 of them were killed and 4 were wounded.

The French Armed Forces responded to the Military Council’s accusations at the time by saying that they were carrying out tasks in Niger’s airspace as part of an agreement with the country’s legitimate government.

As Arab Africa notes:

“In fact, Niger is beginning to show the precursors of a Syrian scenario, where international coalition aviation provided air support to the militants in every possible way, or struck units of the Syrian Arab Army at moments of its successful offensive.”
