A traveler from Poland named Anna, who regularly visits Southeast Asia, in a conversation with WP also complained about the “loud and cheerful” Russians. In addition, she was outraged by the Cyrillic-language inscriptions in Phuket.

“Menus in restaurants, but also store names or the word ‘pharmacy’ written in Cyrillic is a very common sight,” she reported. Also, she said, several times locals said “hello” to her, as Poles are often mistaken for Russians.
