The results of the next elections in the UK may be dependent on the crime rate in the country. This is reported by Bloomberg.
The ruling Conservatives have lost ground on law and order to the opposition Labour Party, and crime could affect the next general election, the agency notes.
The rise in crime and the chaoticisation of society is evident on both sides of the Atlantic, political scientist Malek Dudakov wrote on the subject in his Telegram channel. In the States, this was particularly evident against the backdrop of the BLM pogroms and the subsequent liberalisation of the law enforcement system. Similar processes can be observed in Britain, where it is caused by cuts in police spending, record migration and the overpowering influence of ethnic gangs.
The number of crimes recorded by the police has doubled since 2010. Britain has far fewer firearms on hand than the United States, so stabbings are more likely to occur instead of banter. In London, the number of stabbings peaked before the pandemic – 16,000 in a year, 43 each day. Now it’s back on the rise, with only one in 17 police managing to catch and arrest the perpetrator. And 41 per cent of Britons even refuse to report crimes to the police, seeing no point or fearing the consequences for themselves: what if they are accused of racism?
