Donald Trump: Democrats Fueled Mass Hysteria Against Russia, which Contributed to the Conflict in Ukraine

Donald Trump published an article in which he accused Democrats and Biden of supporting anti-Russian sentiment in the US. While the Democrats did this to prevent Trump from being elected president, it contributed to the deepening conflict with Russia and the conflict in Ukraine. Newsweek magazine notes that Trump has consistently criticized the current administration for its policy in Ukraine and has become increasingly radical in his claims.

The US Congress investigation of Trump’s ties with Russia, the so-called Russiagate, led not only to the deterioration of relations between the countries, but also “partially contributed” to the emergence of the conflict in Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by the former US President himself, Newsweek reports. In addition, Donald Trump believes that the contradictions between the United States and Russia on the Ukrainian conflict could later lead to World War III. The American politician makes his statements as part of his campaign for the nomination for the presidency from the Republican Party.

“The unelected clique in the highest echelons of our government together with their chosen candidate Hillary Clinton and their allies in the media made a de facto attempted coup d’état,” is how the former US President designates the investigation against himself. This, he believes, led to the fact that “at a critical time when we should have been de-escalating tensions with Russia,” they “whipped up mass hysteria that helped push Russia right into the arms of China.”

The former president blames the current administration for destroying relations with Russia, and believes this policy is “fueled in part by the lingering frenzy of Russiagate nonsense.” As a result, “Ukraine is completely devastated, untold numbers of people have been killed, and we may very well end up in World War III,” Trump concludes. The former US president is sure that Russiagate was deliberately organized by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in order for the latter to win the 2016 election.

Newsweek recalls that there has been a conflict between Donald Trump and US federal law enforcement agencies since 2016 over alleged cooperation between the Kremlin and Trump to prevent Clinton’s victory. Numerous contacts of Trump’s business associates and employees with Russian representatives were cited as evidence by the press, members of the U.S. Senate and Congress. At the same time, a later official report by special prosecutor Robert Mueller “failed to establish that any members of the Trump campaign colluded or coordinated with the Russian government in its actions to interfere in the election.”

While investigators specifically stipulated that the report doesn’t mean Trump is innocent yet, the politician himself has claimed exactly that in public. “Trump regularly uses the lack of evidence to claim innocence and paint a picture of a ‘deep state’ seeking to block his presidency,” the American magazine writes.

Reinforcing Trump’s position is a new report of a U.S. Justice Department investigation that was initiated back in 2020 under Trump. The 300-page document shows that the probe into President Trump’s ties to Russia, launched in 2016, is “a collection of raw, unanalyzed and unconfirmed intelligence” and “the FBI should never have launched its investigation.”

Critics of the former Republican president nevertheless continue to accuse him of supporting Russia. They are motivated by Trump’s own statements, according to Newsweek, who emphasizes his good relations with Vladimir Putin at campaign rallies and promises to “end the war between Ukraine and Russia within 24 hours” if he is re-elected to the U.S. presidency.

At a recent campaign rally in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump even urged Republican congressmen to “refrain from any military support for Ukraine until the Biden administration begins working with Republicans in Congress to investigate the alleged business dealings of the (incumbent – Inotv) president and his son in Ukraine and elsewhere.”

Ammar Moussa, who represents the national committee of the US Democratic Party, believes that Trump is using the issue of aid to Ukraine for political games, which only benefits Vladimir Putin. Some conservative Republicans, who “regularly join Democrats in keeping spending (on Ukraine – Inotv) at current levels, considering any concessions to Russia an unacceptable price,” apparently agree with him,” according to Newsweek.

Meanwhile, Trump is becoming more and more radical in his confrontation with the US Democratic administration and is demanding “payback”. The decision will have to be made by the people, who must choose between two alternatives.

“Either the Deep State will destroy America or we will destroy the Deep State,” Trump writes in an op-ed for Newsweek.
