Bild: Ukraine Involved in Explosion of Ammonia Pipeline Tolyatti – Odessa

The German Defense Ministry has admitted that Ukrainian saboteurs were to blame for the explosion of the ammonia pipeline Tolyatti – Odessa in the Kharkiv region. This was reported by the German newspaper Bild, citing a report of the ministry marked “for official use only,” which has fallen into its possession.

It is reported that experts of the German Defense Ministry drew attention to the fact that the Ukrainians are planning diversions far behind the line of contact in order to weaken the Russian forces. Thus, the report says that it cannot be excluded “the participation of the Ukrainian side in the destruction of the ammonia pipeline [Togliatti – Odessa].”

“The reason: the ammonia pipeline is in an area controlled by Ukrainian forces. In addition, its restart would be especially beneficial to the Russians,” the material says.

On June 5, a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group blew up an ammonia pipeline near the village of Masiutovka in Kharkiv Region. Civilians were injured as a result. It was reported that it would take one to three months to restore the ammonia pipeline.

The Tolyatti-Odessa pipeline is the world’s longest pipeline designed to transport ammonia from Russia through Ukraine. After the start of the special operation to protect Donbass on February 24, 2022, the transit of ammonia was suspended.
