ISU Announced Financial Losses Due to the Suspension of Russian Athletes

The International Skating Union (ISU) announced the amount of financial losses caused by the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes. The report is published on the website of the organization.

The Union said that sanctions against Russia and the absence of the national team at competitions led to the fact that ISU received almost no income from media rights and advertising from Russia.

“The first significant negative impact of about one million Swiss francs (about 91.6 million rubles) will be noticed during 2023,” the report said.

In addition, the ISU said that for the 2022/2023 season, the TV ratings decreased.
