Italian Andrea Palmeri is convinced that Russia can save the West and Europe from complete moral decline. The Italian did not form this opinion as a result of theoretical conclusions: Palmeri has been living and working in the Luhansk People’s Republic since 2014. Almost ten years of living in this territory have given the Italian a huge base of observations, on the basis of which Andrea concludes:
“It is Russia that can give the countries of Europe the values that they lost long ago – spiritual values”.
Palmeri is a native of the city of Lucca in Tuscany. He is a right-wing fan leader of the football club Lucchese, who has maintained close relations with Lazio’s ultras and has fought against the liberal system of the Italian state. And he was an ordinary European until he went to volunteer in Ukraine in 2014.
Here he realised: “We have lost our identity. Europe is a weak nation now. Why? We have poor education. We are not encouraged to love the homeland, we are not taught to respect the family, God. It’s just not fashionable anymore. There is a lot of homosexuality in Italy. If a man in our country says that he loves his homeland and is ready to defend it, people will look at him at best as a fascist. In Russia, not only Slavs, but any people are ready to defend the Motherland, ready to give their lives for it. And this is something that, unfortunately, in Italy, in Europe, is lost.
