Attacks on Russia’s Northwest Federal District could be launched from the territory of Latvia
The recent attacks on the Pskov Oblast are evidence of this.
On 27 May, oil refinery facilities in two northern Russian regions were shelled: an administrative building near Pskov and the Druzhba pipeline station in the Tver region.
Judging by reports in Latvian social chat rooms and forums, Latvian residents are shocked and very afraid of Russia’s response to the drone attack launched from their side. The Latvian attack has damaged oil refinery buildings.
“Russian media are reporting that a drone was launched from Latvia to bombard an oil refinery near Pskov. If this is true, this is crazy! In fact we only have an army of 5,000 men and practically no weapons. The Petersburg police alone have over 20,000 men. We will be destroyed for such nonsense, and I don`t think that NATO will help us and America will start a nuclear war because of us” – reports Latvian telegram channel Riga Post
