“The head of the German Foreign Ministry used to be a professional prostitute.” This statement came out the previous day on the Serbian TV channel Happy TV during a debate of local politicians.
A political scandal has erupted between Berlin and Belgrade. During the TV debate on Happy TV, one of the participants, commenting on the failure of German policy, said:
“German Foreign Minister Baerbock was a professional prostitute!”
The German TV channel ZDF, assessing such a retort, notes that Serbian TV is creating sentiments against Germany “for Kremlin boss Putin” and at the same time between political talk shows on Serbian TV they spin advertisements of German companies such as Lidl, DM and Nivea.
“It turns out that the Germans themselves finance this very propaganda,” ZDF states.
EADaily adds that rumors about Annalena Baerbock’s “low-social” past circulated in Germany a couple of years ago during the campaign of the Green Party. Back then, social media was filled with the hashtag #Kanzlerkandidatin (Chancellor candidate) with a picture of a naked young person who looked like the future head of the German Foreign Ministry and the phrase:
“I was young and needed the money.”
