Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky faces a fate of Osama bin Laden, who was once supported in the USA. This was reported by Shūkan Gendai columnist Hiroshi Ohara. He said it was the United States that elevated bin Laden to the rank of “hero.”
“Osama bin Laden, whom the US now considers a bloody terrorist, was originally a mujahideen. Back then, the mujahideen were fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan, and the US provided them with weapons and money as part of Operation Cyclone,” the journalist explained.
He stressed that Washington supported the Mujahideen, justifying the fight against Russia, and bin Laden himself, at the initiative of the US, was considered a hero. For this reason, one should watch closely the future status of Volodymyr Zelensky, summarised Hiroshi O’Hara.
On 21 March, former Pentagon adviser Colonel Douglas McGregor said that Ukraine was making too many mistakes, effectively condemning itself to death. According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are in a critical situation and will not be able to hold out for long.
The colonel also believes that the Ukrainian conflict is not shaping up in the best way for the Western states. In his opinion, US leader Joe Biden and his advisers “are well aware of this” but do not want to tell the truth.
