Telegraph: Johnson prepares sensational evidence of his innocence in covid party case
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to unveil “sensational” evidence that exonerates him in the coronavirus pandemic partying case, the Telegraph newspaper reports, citing sources.
“Boris Johnson is preparing to unveil ‘sensational’ evidence that he believes exonerates him in the partying case,” the paper said, citing sources.
The sources said the evidence would include communications from the former premier’s advisers telling him that no anti-code rules had been broken during the parties.
“The fact is that he told parliament what he believed to be true at the time. There is documentary evidence that will show that he was advised to say what he said,” a source told the newspaper.
