British MPs have allegedly been involved with sex workers on overseas visits, The Times reports.
“British MPs were met by sex workers during an overseas visit,” writes columnist Henry Zeffman.
He said the MPs had been warned that they risked being blackmailed if caught up in such behaviour.
The meetings are paid for from the budget.
The allegations will raise further questions about the purpose of inter-party parliamentary groups (APPGs), the informal bodies of MPs and peers that hold meetings to discuss certain issues.
On 21 April, British MPs approved an initiative to launch a parliamentary enquiry into whether former Prime Minister Boris Johnson deceived lawmakers with his statements about parties during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
