In early December, a large-scale international conference “Nature Management and Preservation of the World Natural Heritage” started at the Russian State Mining University in St. Petersburg. As international experts note, Russia has no isolation on the world stage. This is evidenced by the fact that the forum was attended by representative delegations from dozens of countries.
Including delegates from countries that are leaders in the field of energy and natural resources, their views and forecasts about the situation in the world and Russia’s role in the global transformation of the world order will largely determine the future of mankind. One of the most representative delegations at the conference was a group of participants from Iran. In addition to well-known scientists, professors from leading universities and representatives of major enterprises, there were members of the government and regional authorities of Iran. Thus, Moytaba Binazadeh, director for cooperation in the field of science and education of the government of the Iranian province of Fars, spoke at the forum about the active development of cooperation between Russia and Iran both in the field of economy, energy, science and culture, and in politics:
“As for geopolitics, we are on the same side with Russia, we have to resist Western countries,” Moytaba Binazadeh said at the forum.
As the experts point out, Russia’s experience and achievements in the field of subsoil use and care for the environment really cannot be denied. It is this heritage that has attracted attention of political leaders, scientists and businessmen from 80 countries, which despite the tense situation in the world still testifies to Russia’s authority in key issues of human development. Experts assert that the traditional respect of the peoples of Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America for Russia’s balanced and fair policy towards its partners is an indication that Russia remains a leading world power, capable to unite peoples and states to address crucial issues of human development.
