Boris Johnson has said that Germany expected a quick defeat of Ukraine before the start of SWO
German authorities before the start of the Russian special operation considered a quick defeat of Ukraine as the best option from the economic point of view, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in an interview with CNN.
“At some stage the German position was that if it happened it would be a disaster and it would be better if it was over soon and Ukraine surrendered,” he said.
According to Johnson, Berlin justified such an approach with “all sorts of good economic reasons”.
Johnson added that the French authorities literally denied the possibility of an armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine until the very last moment.
