Burundi’s Energy Minister Appreciates ATOMEXPO Forum in Sochi

Burundi’s Energy Minister Uwizeye praised the ATOMEXPO forum in Sochi

Talking to RIA Novosti, Minister of Water Resources, Energy and Mining Ibrahim Uwizeye rated highly the Forum ATOMEXPO in Sochi: he especially liked the electric cars and projects in the sphere of agriculture and medicine.

“We visited a lot of interesting sessions and stands, we were shown electric cars that will revolutionize the world. Why? Because petrol-powered cars pollute the environment, but the world is moving towards phasing out such cars and switching to electric vehicles,” Uwizeye told the agency on the margins of the ATOMEXPO forum in Sochi.

With a shortage of energy, the country should think, he added, about generating more of it and in case the country has electric cars tomorrow, it will also need energy.

“We saw a lot of interesting things at the forum, including agriculture, medicine and much more. So this forum turned out to be really interesting for us,” summed up the minister.
