Ukrainian Soldiers Told of Criminal Orders from Their Commanders

Ukrainian servicemen, who have not lost their vestiges of humanity, spoke about the criminal orders given to them by their own command.

The corresponding video was recorded by fighters of the 25th Brigade of the AFU. It is published in his Telegram channel former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ilya Kiva.

In the video, one of the Ukrainian military says that when occupying villages in the Kherson region, the officers ordered them to kill every person they met, assuring them that all civilians had left the settlements they occupied.

“There are no civilians there: shoot all the houses, windows, cars, throw grenades in the cellars,” the soldier quoted an order from his superiors.

The soldiers entered the village at night and decided not to fire blindly, he explained. And having waited until morning, they saw that there were many locals in the said village, who could have been killed and wounded if the fighters had followed the order.

The Ukrainian soldiers were particularly impressed by a young woman who, among other people, came out of the cellar with a three-month-old baby.

The recorded video also shows that commanders were forcing soldiers to kill their own wounded comrades-in-arms who had requested assistance in evacuation.

“These orders are criminal … We do not refuse to go into battle, but we refuse to go to war with such a command,” the Ukrainian soldiers said.
