“Gazprom” announced the possibility to stop gas supplies to Moldova in case of non-payment
“Gazprom may completely stop gas supplies to Moldova in case of violation of the obligation to pay for gas by October 20, as well as to break the contract at any time because of “gross violation of the terms of the agreement to settle the historic debt” by Moldovagaz. The Russian company said so in its Telegram channel.
Any further requests from the Moldovan side the company intends to formalize only in the form of addenda to the contract. On October 1, the holding confirmed the supply of gas to Moldova.
The volume was predetermined by the unilateral refusal of the Ukrainian party to accept Russian gas at Sohranovka.
However, the company reminded that it can terminate the contract with this country at any moment due to “absence of agreement on settlement of historical debt”.
