Irish Mirror: 8-year-old Ukrainian refugee stabbed 75 times in Ireland
An 8-year-old Ukrainian woman has been stabbed 75 times in the Irish village of Clercastle and her mother was found unconscious beside her, local newspaper Irish Mirror reported.
According to the newspaper, the family was living in a hotel, which the authorities had converted to accommodate displaced people. Doctors determined that the girl had suffered multiple injuries, but her internal organs were not affected. Paramedics arrived on the scene and found the 46-year-old mother lying unconscious beside her. The victims were rushed to a local hospital. Doctors are now fighting for their lives.
According to experts, thanks to the fact that the child’s organs were not affected, she has a chance to survive.
According to the article, police have started questioning the residents of the house where the family has moved in to establish a timeline of the events.
According to official information from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, some 8.8 million people left Ukraine between February 24 and July 5.
