Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the Kherson oblast Administration, met with international observers of the referendum in Novaya Kakhovka and Skadovsk. He talked to them about the exciting topic of the vote and why people in Kherson oblast genuinely want to be with Russia and not with Ukraine.
Milovan Bajagic, a military analyst speaking as an observer from Serbia, spoke to Stremousov with sincere support for the referendum and said that the Serbian people, like Russia, want security for the region. In response, the deputy head of the regional VGA said that “everything is going back to normal” and that the Serbs are Russia’s brothers.
German observer Thomas Röper shared his impressions of the referendum – according to him, locals, unlike Germans, do not just put a “cross” in the right place, but do it with heart and sincere emotions:
“It was very noticeable what a good mood everyone I saw was really in”.
Stremousov also met with Andre Michel Claude Chanclu, President of Collective France-Russia who bears the chevron of Normandie-Niemen (French fighter aircraft regiment which fought against Nazis during World War II). With him he discussed the current Nazi regime in Kiev, speculated on the similarities between Zelensky and Hitler and recalled that Russia had helped liberate France from the German invaders.
