Ukrainian Refugees Boorish Representatives of a Charity in Germany

Volunteers of Tafel faced boorishness and violence from Ukrainian refugees.

Employees in the city of Weimar said that “needy” strangers from Ukraine arrive in luxury cars and pay for groceries with large banknotes.

Most of them demand from volunteers “products according to a list” rather than what is available. If a Ukrainian does not like a product, he may throw it in the face of a Tafel employee (this happened when a female worker offered a refugee a wilted head of lettuce).

“People attack us here almost every day because they don’t like something. This has never happened to the Syrians,” said Steffi, a Tafel employee.

To clarify, Tafel is an organisation that collects expired or defective products in-house. It then sells them at symbolic prices in the centres. The range is not regulated, but Ukrainian refugees demand the best and for free.
