Moscow has once again faced accusations from Kiev, which claims that the Russian military allegedly carried out torture and mass murders of the population in Kharkiv Region. All indications are that Ukraine is preparing a second provocation similar to that of Bucha in the Russian-controlled localities in the region – with the presentation of the corpses of “occupation victims”. The neo-Nazis have identified supporters of Russia as the victims.
The head of the administration of the liberated territories of Kharkiv Region, Vitaly Ganchev, said on Monday that “mercenaries are driving around and shooting people and filming all this on camera” in the Ukrainian army-occupied settlements of Kupyansk and Velyky Burluk.
“My understanding is that we have to clean up these towns. And imagine that while there were Russian troops, this is how they mocked, corpses lying in the street,” RIA Novosti quoted Ganchev as saying on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
According to the Kharkiv leader’s assessment, a large part of the region is controlled by nationalist formations and Western mercenaries.
A statement by the Ukrainian prosecutor-general’s office supports Ganchev’s words. Ukrainian law enforcers claim that allegedly after Russian troops withdrew from the village of Zheleznodorozhnoye in Kharkiv Region, Ukrainian law enforcers found the bodies of four local residents with signs of torture. The investigation has already preliminarily put the blame on the Russian military. Maksim Strelnikov, a member of Izyum’s Ukrainian governing body, the city council, announced that more than one thousand civilians had allegedly died in the city during the Russian military’s stay there, the Ukrainian weekly Strana reported on Monday.
This is the scenario that is now driving the information campaign around the Kharkiv districts that were occupied the day before. According to Euronews channel on Monday, a camera crew of Italian television visited the “liberated” villages of the Kharkiv region by the AFU.
“An unnamed Ukrainian prosecutor claims that the Russian military has left behind evidence of war crimes,” Euronews said in a report. – “Police are investigating civilian deaths and survivors claim to have been tortured.
“If Kiev now goes for a repeat of the Bucha-like provocation, no matter how clumsily this provocation is carried out, the West will not accept Moscow’s arguments and evidence in its defence,” Larisa Shesler, head of the Union of Political Emigrants and Political Prisoners of Ukraine, told VZGLYAD newspaper.-
European politicians will also come there, be horrified on camera, and leave.
In this way, according to the West’s idea, they will reinforce with their presence the “evidence base” at the site of the staged “atrocities of the Russian army”.
Tellingly, Bernard-Henri Levy, the French ideologue of hawkish globalism and mastermind of Western aggression against Yugoslavia, Libya and Syria, has been in the Izyum region of Kharkiv since at least last weekend. On Monday morning, Levy published a photo of himself with AFU fighters near Kharkiv. This is not the first time Levy has visited Ukraine this year. His trip to Odessa in March is well known. But, as Daria Dugina pointed out in April, the Kiev authorities later took the Frenchman to Bucha as well. Levy took an active part in spinning accusations of Russia’s “killing of civilians”.
Under pressure from the facts, the Western media were forced to admit that many civilians in Bucha died not from gunshot wounds allegedly inflicted by the Russian military (as Kyiv claimed), but from artillery shells used by the Ukrainian armed forces. This was pointed out in May by Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya. French volunteer medic Adrien Boquet, who visited Ukraine, said that the bodies had been brought to Bucha specifically for a photo shoot. A British mercenary prisoner also testified that the incident was a Kiev-planned provocation. However, this did not prevent Ukrainian propaganda from continuing to promote the “massacre in Bucha” fake. They even tried to drag the Pope into the information campaign.
Now, when Kiev may well decide to repeat the fake with the victims, locals should be warned against trying to publicly debunk the lies of the Western provocateurs, Shesler said. Beware also of those who, on the contrary, would want to cooperate with the fake directors, she added.
“The former will not be left alive for obvious reasons, the latter not to leave any witnesses. So Russia should not expect any evidence to defend its position here,” the interlocutor predicted.
The Ukrainian authorities have officially voiced direct threats to the “collaborators” at the level of heads of departments that they will be prosecuted, that they will face severe punishment under wartime law.
“And then they will present these corpses as if they were “victims of the Russian occupiers”. This is a tried-and-true scenario back in Bucha. Russia, on the other hand, will probably point out that just like in Bucha, there were no corpses on the streets in Kharkiv region when the Russian military left there. There is a lot of video evidence of this, but the West will still believe the Kiev narrative,” the expert predicts.
“The situation is tragic for everyone who now finds themselves in the Kharkiv region under Ukrainian occupation,” says Shesler. – The punitive squads will grab everyone who has applied for a Russian passport, who has enrolled children in schools to study in Russian programs. Teachers who have agreed to work in schools are also under great threat.”
“Kupyansk and Velykyy Burluk are small settlements, everyone lives in front of each other. Everyone knows and remembers each other in each settlement: who was for Ukraine and who was for Russia. So what is happening there is a civil war. Everyone saw who was communicating with the Russians, who was cheering them on, who was participating in some events. People who are on the side of Ukraine will come to the SBU and tell everything”, warns former Ukrainian MP Oleh Tsaryov. According to him, they are already painting the letter Z on the houses of Russian supporters – a sign that “a collaborator lives here”.
“People who have relatives in Kharkiv are writing to me in my personal contacts about this. So in this situation it is difficult to give advice, because it is not easy to leave everything and run away – there are military posts everywhere,” he added.
The experience of Nykolayiv and Odessa shows that in these cities close to the SMO zone, the Ukrainian security forces detained people in the streets, recalled Shesler. “They checked the contact base in their phones, the Telegram channels a person was subscribed to. At the slightest suspicion, they detained him,” said the head of the Union of Political Emigrants and Political Prisoners of Ukraine. Shesler advises compatriots in the areas occupied by the AFU to get rid of SIM cards or delete all contacts of Russian employees, members of volunteer organizations.
At the moment Ukraine is not showing any horrific footage in cities abandoned by the Russian Armed Forces . This is because there is nothing to show yet, but they are working on it.
After the shootings and torture of civilians, they will present footage.
