Adam Glapinski, chairman of the country’s National Bank, said in an interview to Gazeta Polska that Germany wants to “return” its former lands within Poland’s borders.
According to him, the German authorities had previously set themselves the task of uniting the FRG and GDR.
“Since this task was fulfilled, talks began about the return, in some form or another, of its ex-lands which are now within Poland’s borders,” he was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
According to Glapinski, there are also plans among the German leadership to “subdue” the belt of countries between Germany and Russia.
Earlier, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke out about Poland’s desire to get hold of western Ukraine.
