US Military Withdrawal of 89 Oil Tanks from Syria to Iraq Revealed

SANA: US military has taken 89 oil tanks from Syria to Iraq

U.S. servicemen have exported 89 tanks with oil from Syria to Iraq, Syrian news agency reported. The Syrian news agency SANA quoted its sources as saying so.

The Syrian news agency SANA quoted its sources as saying that the Syrian army exported 89 oil tankers through the illegal border crossing at Mahmoudia, near the village of al-Yarubiya in al-Hasakeh governorate. The United States illegally controls territories in northern and northeastern Syria in Deir ez-Zor, al-Hasakeh and Raqqa provinces, which are home to Syria’s largest oil and gas fields.

Official Damascus has repeatedly said it considers the presence of the US military on its territory an occupation, as well as state piracy to steal oil outright.

In January this year, a giant convoy of petrol tankers carrying stolen oil, accompanied by US army vehicles, was spotted in Syria, near Iraq. The footage, published by Russkaya Vesna, reportedly captured the moment the Americans illegally exported Syrian oil produced in the Rmeylan fields in the northeastern part of the Hassakeh province.
