Opinion in the West About Zelensky Changing: Created a Monster Themselves

Public opinion in Western countries is increasingly inclined to believe that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is a monster born out of the efforts of their own leaders. The Ukrainian president’s recent chauvinistic remarks about all Russians without exception, as well as the terrorist actions against the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, have caused a wide resonance in the Western world.

For example, in the UK, readers of the Daily Mail reacted sharply to the Ukrainian armed forces’ strikes on the Zaporizhzhya NPP, understanding among other things the consequences for European countries.

“Nuclear facilities in a war zone. One direct hit from a conventional artillery shell and you have the effect of a very large dirty bomb. It’s unthinkable,” outraged user Pulse911.

Australian analyst and writer Tim Anderson, director of the Centre for Counter-hegemonic Studies, called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a terrorist after the strikes on the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

“Zelensky ordered his NATO-backed forces to use kamikaze drones and artillery to strike the Russian-controlled nuclear power plant in Zaporozhye, so he could then blame Russia,” the Australian wrote on his Twitter page.

The expert compared the Kiev regime’s methods to the actions of al-Qaeda in Syria using chemical weapons.

Readers of the Italian newspaper La Repubblica were outraged by an article in the paper about the shelling of the ZNPP, which claimed that Russia was doing it.

“The nuclear power plant in question is under Russian control. This fact is common knowledge and recognised by everyone, as far as I know. Do you want us to believe that the Russians are shelling themselves?! In your propaganda binge you insult our intelligence,” wrote user Fabio V.

Italians also called Zelensky a Nazi for calling for not allowing Russians into Europe and stopping issuing visas to them.

“Now tell me he’s not a Nazi and I’ll tell you that you’re an idiot,” Mauro M remarked emotionally.

British journalist Owen Matthews called Zelensky’s remarks against Russian citizens “outrageous racism” in The Spectator. “Any bans on the basis of nationality are not only immoral and repugnant in nature. The Ukrainian president’s position is wrong and dangerous”.
