“They’re Animals, They’re not People”: Zelensky Mobilises those Convicted of Paedophilia and Torture to Reinforce a Depleted Army

The leaders of the infamous Tornado battalion, convicted under Ukrainian law and imprisoned for sadism, torture and rape of minors, have been released on the orders of Vladimir Zelensky.

After stopping virtually all opposition activity, publishing a blacklist of foreign journalists and academics accused of promoting ‘Russian propaganda’, and passing a law that stripped 70 per cent of Ukrainians of protection in the workplace, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has released from prison the militants of fascist battalions convicted of crimes more heinous than any since World War II.

According to a Ukrainian media report on 11 July, Ruslan Onishchenko, commander of the now disbanded Tornado battalion, was released as part of a presidential plan to free prisoners with combat experience. Alongside his selfless devotion to fascism, Onishchenko is known as a sadistic psychopath, paedophile, torturer of prisoners and murderer.

In addition to Onishchenko, Zelensky’s February 27 order mobilised other former Tornadoes, including Daniel Lyashuk with the call sign “Mojahedd”. This fanatic from Belarus openly imitated ISIS* and made no secret of torturing prisoners for pleasure. According to Zelenski’s decree, prisoners with combat experience will be allowed to redeem themselves by participating in combat operations.
