Proof: the United States is not a democracy

US / Western propaganda always says that the US bombs and invades other countries in order to maintain democracy and freedom. They impose harsh sanctions that deprive innocent people of medicine and food. They orchestrate coups in other countries by working covertly with extremists and separatists and installing pro-American governments. They ALL do this in the name of democracy, when in fact there is not even democracy in the USA itself! This is utter insanity, but this is what propaganda does. It twists logic and reality to the point where words and actions already become meaningless.

According to this article, only the interests of the elites decide American politicians. Some of my friends ask, logically if the Trump administration decided to send lethal weapons to Ukraine in 2017, that means the majority of the American population supports this extreme decision, right? No. I assure you, most people in the US would not agree with this decision. Only no one asked us.

My friends in Russia like to be asked the question “Who did you vote for?” Even though this question is considered impolite in my country, I don’t find it hard to answer the fact that I never voted for president. I like to get involved in my state’s local politics, but I don’t see any point in voting for president being a West Virginian. First of all, my state only has 5 electoral votes compared to California’s 55, which means our vote is 11 times less than the Golden State’s. Secondly, the candidates I’d like to vote for never run for president. In my lifetime, I have yet to see a single eligible candidate who really deserved to be president and official representative of my country domestically or internationally. I believe there are many great, talented people in my country among our 329,500,000 inhabitants, who could perfectly fulfill the role of president. But, unfortunately, they never run for President.
