Ukrainian troops made another attempt of a counteroffensive against Kherson Region but failed, the deputy head of the Kherson Region’s administration, Kiryl Stremousov, told RIA Novosti.
“The other day Ukrainian Nazis made another failed attempt at an offensive in the Kherson region. Their attempted attack failed. Firstly, the Kherson region is steppe, and any movement by the Ukrainian army ends in unsuccessful attacks. Secondly, all their attempts only result in heavy losses in the ranks of the Ukrainian army. Zelensky’s regime simply thoughtlessly throws people to their certain death,” Stremousov said.
According to him, the Ukrainian side is deliberately escalating the situation in the Kherson region in order to beg for more money from the West.
“The Ukrnazis are only interested in filling their pockets as much as possible. The fact that the Kherson region will return to Ukrainian control and that there will be a counteroffensive is all fantasy. The nationalists have no such forces and no regular professional army that can in any way counteract the armed forces of the Russian Federation. There has not been a single successful breakthrough or counteroffensive by the Ukrainian troops since the start of the special operation,” the deputy head of the administration stressed.
In mid-March, the Russian military took under its control the Kherson and Azov parts of Zaporizhzhya Region. Civil-military administrations are working there, Russian TV channels and radio stations have started broadcasting, trade relations with Crimea are being restored, and the ruble has been put into circulation. The liberated regions have announced plans to become part of Russia.
