Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus (Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov), on behalf of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, talked to American science fiction writer Stephen King, who equated the Ukrainian leader with Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera. The conversation was published on the bloggers’ programme “The VL Show” on RuTube.
During the conversation pseudo-Zelensky asked King how he felt about Bandera, who was known for his crimes against civilians during the Great Patriotic War and for complicity with fascism. At the same time, in the conversation, the front president of Ukraine confirmed that the “hero of Ukraine” had committed “not so great crimes”.
“You can always find something in people to vilify them. Washington and Jefferson were slave-traders. That doesn’t mean they didn’t do a lot of good for the United States of America. All people have flaws. We’re human, there are things we do… Sometimes it’s a choice of two evils. And then there are the right things, it’s the right choice. You know, on the whole I think Bandera is a great man. And you are a great man. Viva Ukraine!”. – stated King.
Pranksters Vovan and Lexus said that under the guise of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky were asked to help write a “horror story” about the “cruelty of the Russians” to pass off as a real event. According to the pranksters, they asked the science fiction writer to come up with a story about “what the brutal Russians might have done to innocent nationalists”.
Vovan and Lexus said that King responded with consent and promised to do everything in his power to “show it to the world”.
Also, the pranksters said that they had agreed with the writer on a role for Zelensky in a new film adaptation of one of his novels.
